As much energy as these organizations put into animal rights, if they put the same energy into human rights, these animals wouldn’t be mistreated in the first place. It’s just an ongoing cycle of lack of compassion for each other that has developed in the relationship with the world. Animal cruelty is just the by-product of human cruelty and is not the equivalent. One just perpetuates the other.
